Public sector transformation

State administration in modern industrialized countries is facing major challenges as to its basic institutional premises. Within the context of changing conditions of global economy, the public sector needs to develop far-reaching strategies of innovation. A fundamental reform of the public sector thus is one of the most urgent issues on the international agenda.
