the long version

After a vicious attack on Earth, Cole finds herself recuperating in the cloud city of Easton. It's been a hundred years since the rich rose above the oil-depleted Earth to live in great cloud cities, while those left behind live a rural existence, off the grid. Cole is adrift in the unfamiliar social landscape of Easton until she meets Audrey, a beautiful doctor, and their attraction is potentially life-altering. But an attack on Easton forces Cole and Audrey to examine what truly has meaning.
