Scarlet ibis

Twelve-year-old Scarlet loves her little brother fiercely, so she doesn't mind taking care of him when their mother is having an off day. But when their mother's instability leads to the children being taken from her and put into separate foster homes, Scarlet knows she must find Red--he's autistic, and she's the only one he can communicate with. And she's willing to do anything it takes to get her brother back.
