Mo Bradley and Thailand
Sobre o livro
Except for one brief trip to the United States, occasioned by the death of his first wife, Dan Beach Bradley served as a missionary to Thailand for the final thirty-eight years of his life, from 1835 to 1873. First of all an evangelist, Bradley was also a physician, diplomat and advisor to the crown. His impact upon the missionary movement in Thailand was so pervasive that his sojourn is still referred to as the "Bradley Era" by present missionaries. In this biographical study of Dan Beach Bradley, Donald C. Lord records that pioneer's ministry with accuracy and fullness while interpreting his character and motivation with discernment and sympathetic understanding. Bradley's career unfolded in the context of Thai history, and the book is as much a history of Thai-Western relations as of mission. - Back cover.
