Advances in perinatal thyroidology

In order to help the primary clinician with the difficult diagnosis of problems with thyroid gland physiology in unborn babies, authors from a range of medical and scientific specialties contribute 15 papers on such topics as the mechanisms of thyroid hormone action, maternal thyroid hormones during pregnancy, and the use of TRH in the fetus to advance lung maturity.
