"After graduating from the University of Montreal's Occupational Therapy Department, Christiane Shelbi's-Maurois worked with children with cerebral palsy at the Victor-Done School in Montreal for three years. In 1980, she set off on a one-year trip to specialized cent res, hospitals and schools in places as far apart as Sweden and California, gathering a great deal of information on the latest advances in seating, mobility and communication aids for children and adults with cerebral palsy. Since her return, she has lectured on her subject and written articles for specialist journals. These activities have resulted in a continuing exchange of ideas and input.
