The book of church growth

the long version

The Church Growth Movement has divided devout Christians. Even though Rainer is an advocate, his aim here is to present an objective view of the movement--its history, the theology associated with it, and the principles which seem to separate churches that grow from those that don't ... After each chapter is additional suggested reading. One can easily and concisely in this work see the development and emphases of this movement ... The far stronger and longer section is principles, interestingly enough set apart from the theology. Here one can see the focus of the movement. Questionable theology can only lead to suspect principles and application. -- Amazon.com.
