1943. The British 8th Army had crossed over from Messina to Reggio and 'Scoop' Britwell, a fighting war correspondent, suffered from battle fatigue. Always on the lookout for his brother, Captain 'Tufty' Britwell of the Home Counties Commandos, he's captured by the Germans where he befriends Lieutenant Rawson, an L.C.T. skipper, and Dusty Lewis, a Pioneer. When he is released by British troops, 'Scoop' finally catches up with 'Tufty' and together they face the fighting in Naples ...
