the long version
This is a review and tips book for 67 Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) games, 8 Game Boy (GB) games, and a review of the accessories for both game systems. Each NES game review is divided into four sections, and has a dot-matrix screenshot. The NES review sections are; "Up Front", a overview of the game; "Getting Started", description of the controls items and such, "Moving On", mini walkthrough strategies, for key points in a game or level; "Master Tips" with passwords, codes, and strategies to get extra lives. The accessories, and Game Boy sections have mini reviews and short tips, with no screenshots. There is also a 8 page insert of color screenshots, 2 games per page, however the picture titled "Castlevania II: Simon's Quest" in this color section is really "The Castlevania Adventure", for the Game Boy. This is the third book in the "Nintendo Master" series, it was preceeded by "Mastering Nintendo Video Games" ISBN: 0672484641, "Mastering Nintendo Video Games II" ISBN: 0672484919, and was followed by "Beyond the Nintendo Masters" ISBN: 0672485036.
