Jack is not a girly girl. She loves doing what her three older brothers do; trying hard to prove that she is as good as they are. This, coupled with a creative imagination, gets her into a heap of trouble. From getting stuck in a culvert to catching criminals, learning to milk a cow to riding her brother's horse without permission; staging backyard rodeo to bringing chickens in the house to watch television, Jack begins to realize that she doesn't need to prove anything to anyone but just be herself. However, no matter what she does, it all comes down to the fact that she will never be happy until she gets her own horse.
