It was ten years since Joanna had seen Shannon Carne. Now, for family reasons, she had gone out to Africa to persuade him to come home – and knew at once that the feeling she had for him now was as strong as it had been then. And, Shannon admitted, he still cared just as much for her. But there was more than one overwhelming reason why they could not get married – one of them being Philip Lawson, whom Joanna had already promised to marry.
