Mr. Walker, the Cockney rag and bone man, is always bumping into other people's troubles. After the murder of old Cartwright in the jeweller's shop, he becomes involved in adventures with his friend Inspector Wedge of Scotland Yard, with the arrest of a crooked police officer, and the escape of Cartwright's killer. Then there is another death - in Mr. Walker{u2019}s own sitting room - but his problems are just beginning, as he discovers that he himself is a candidate for murder!
