*Técnicas y peces del aficionado cubano* (Techniques and fish of the Cuban amateur) exposes in an orderly way from the simplest fishing procedures, the cane and the Cuban yo-yo, to the rod and reel tackles regularly used by the amateurs. An exceptional chapter is dedicated to fly fishing, which counted from 2006 to 2010 with an extraordinary tournament, named **Zapatafly**, because it was based in the famous fishing spot of Cienaga de Zapata. Among the fish are mentioned the most charismatic in the country: Biajaca (a Cuban cichlid), Mutton snapper and others, such as Bonefish.
