Hippu zukai

This is a manuscript on the art of war. It contains 276 paintings which deal with military array, equipment, weapons, etc. The paintings are very refined and each is accompanied with some brief explanations. In the postscript by Minamoto Naokata and his friends, it is mentioned that they borrowed this manuscript from the author and read it in the second (intercalary) lunar month of the sixth Year of Shtoku (1716). Therefore the manuscript must have been written before 1716.
