When her flighty mother runs off to an artist colony in California, Anastasia Bumpp finds herself in charge of her six wild siblings, her absent-minded father, and a house full of goats, cats, and snakes. All Anastasia wants is to be ordinary and maybe make a few friends in their new home of Bella Bella. But when you're a Bumpp, things are never ordinary. Slowly Anastasia comes to learn the things that make her different are the things that make her worth knowing.
