It is the summer of 1776 and Jonathan Kinkaid has been sent to advise General Benedict Arnold in his efforts to prevent British General Guy Carleton from pushing south from Montreal through the chain of lakes and waterways to join General Clinton in New York City and split the colonies. This assignment results in Kinkaid's participating in the first naval actio nof the Revolutionary War.
