A young woman tells the story of her decision to take a break from suburban life by moving to a shambolic, draughty farmhouse in a scenic country valley. Along with the farmhouse comes a new companion, a widowed survivalist called Cassandra White. Her crazy, utopian dream is to stop rich city-dwellers buying up rural second homes.
