Chains of loss

Derek, a pacifistic cyborg from the New Athens stellar colony, finds himself stranded on a post-apocalyptic fantasy earth. He has phenomenal power at his fingertips, but he's always been able to take it for granted that everyone he meets is healthy and empowered. He's never even heard the word 'orc,' or expected to meet a vampire - much less an orcish vampire. The world doesn't have time to let him stop and gawk, as he has to deal with the meddlings of a proactive prophet, blunder through a civil war and try to avoid breaking his companions in his first few days on the shattered earth.
