This is a novel that is 99% historically accurate, based upon the wartime diary of Lt. Roland J. Jackson, 9th Tennessee Cavalry, CSA, who road with the famous Gen. John Hunt Morgan on many spectacular and daring raids during the Civil War. The author is a direct descendant of Lt. Jackson. The action is constant, the descriptions fascinating and detailed. A must for every War Between the States buff and a good reference book for the years 1861-64. I absolutely loved this book--could not put it down.
