Children discover reading

Structural reading is a systematic method of teaching children to read. The structural reading course begins with an analysis of the spoken word and proceeds, step by step, in a systematic progression, to give the child insight into the structure of the written word--the sentence, the paragraph, the story. Learning by insight enables the child to transfer what they have already grasped to the understanding of new tasks. In this method, to learn means to discover and explore, never to memorize by rote.
