Post-Cold War Policy

The end of the Cold WAr has facilitated a rethinking of national priorities. Now that the threat of cataclysmic war has abated, policymakers are turning to domestic economic and social problems - the demand of expanding populations for social services; the decline of an industrial base; the transition to a peacetime economy; the retaining of a work force; the protection of the environment; the remedying of race., gender, and class inequality; and the ability to compete in international markets. This text is the first to address these issues within a comprehensive framework.
