the long version
This book is a walk through youthful slang, and the social conventions of the twenties. It is told through the thoughts of a young man of 21 who is convalescing in a bed in his parents home in London. He struggles with out dated notions of class, parental supervision, dislike for the older generation, and his own inner agnst of suddenly loosing one's independance amist all the pressures of social morality. Some pretty good youthful spars revealing a character with much spirit and adventure.
