"In The Collaborative City, John J. Betancur and Douglas C. Gills have brought together a diverse group of contributors to discuss the common urban fate of Blacks and Latinos in U.S. cities. In addition to examining the ways in which policies can be reinvented to effectively respond to economic and political restructuring, the contributors explore experiences of collaboration and contention between Black and Latino communities and develop new approaches for resisting the accumulated effects of racism in an environment of denial.
