Francesco Di Giorgio

Analisys of the architectural works on fortifications carried out by the military architect Francesco di Giorgio Martini, native of Siena, for the Duke of Urbino Federico da Montefeltro in the second half of XV century. The study analizes several fortresses in the land of Montefeltro in the Marches region and stress the attribution to Francesco of the "cittadella" of San Costanzo.
