Discusses what the author perceives as widespread misconceptions concerning angiitis and the central nervous system (e.g., the belief that the CNS manifestations of systemic lupus erythematosus are caused by angiitis and misplaced confidence in catheter angiography as a sensitive and specific means of diagnosis).
