Continuing Griffith's previous volume, United States Stamps 1922-26, this book treats the remainder of the stamps published during the administrations of presidents Harding, Coolidge, and Hoover. Since their publication, the Griffith books have become the definitive study of the stamps of this period, and treat the political reasons for their issue as well as the stamp production and varieties. Airmail collectors will also find interest in the historical treatment of the trans-continental route, contract air mail, and the Lindbergh flight and subsequent developments in transporting mail.
