Tells of the life led by Sabine and her family in a remote jungle area of West Papua, Indonesia among the recently-discovered Payu people. Her idyllic existence was interrupted when the family went back to Germany. They did return to West Papau but caught between two cultures Sabine no longer felt completely at home. When her childhood friend, Ohri died she left the jungle for good. She was seventeeen, at a boarding school in Swizerland and she gradually made the transition back into Western society though it was painful.
