the long version
Three of the author's skazki. In the first (Kot-rybolov), a cat goes fishing and ends up dealing with a fox, a wolf, and a bear. The second (Meshok i︠a︡blok) involves a rabbit who goes berry picking in a forest but finds an apple tree instead; he defies a crow guarding the tree and picks all the apples, then ends up sharing them with other animals. The third (Ëlka) is about a group of school children who write Santa Claus asking for a Christmas tree; they give their letter to a snowman they built, and the snowman travels with a puppy through the forest to deliver the letter.
