The bullet sang past Asey Mayo's ear and whacked into the garage door as he went to get his car for the run to the Yacht Club. Asey didn't pause to investigate but sped to the Club to look for Mrs. Newell who had been so anxious to see him. He found her lying on the beach, under a bright umbrella, quite dead. Events became even stranger until Asey's suspicions were confirmed and he cracked down on a murderer whose amazing secret none had guessed.
