Murder seemed grimly out of place amid the Cotswolds, but Chuck Lindop was undoubtedly dead at the caravan site he ran as manager, and Inspector Crow was there to find out why. There had been a lot of comings and goings at the site, and many of those involved had a grudge against Chuck. There had also been a spate of burglaries in which Chuck might have been involved, and someone - possibly Chuck - had been conspiring with the thieving gipsies, in town for the annual fair. A complex case with some challenging problems, which Crow solved in his own inimitable way.
