With the help of Mrs. O'Brien, the two little girls adopt a tiny vacant house and transform it into a playhouse, a home for a little old lady, and a cookie shop for everyone. Book includes recipe for Sugar Cookies. The story was later adapted into a musical for children, ''The Little House of Cookies."
