These were the glory days of live TV, and his first job at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Toronto led to direct participation in network television broadcasts. His forty-year career in the entertainment business has given him a unique perspective on art and culture during the 1960s, 70s and 80s. He has worked with and encountered many interesting people--from Muhammad Ali to the late Jack Benny and Leslie Nielsen. He has had his own film company, been a cinema owner, film festival president, and magazine publisher, and has conducted the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra.
