"I seem to be an extremely bad judge of women," Phillip said at last. "Either that or you're the best actress I've ever met!" It seemed so ironic. Now that the way was clear for her and Phillip to love each other, Lesley couldn't marry him. Nor could she tell him the real reason; she didn't trust him. How could you tell the man you love that you think he killed his wife? Phillip would just have to believe she didn't love him.
