Negotiating for entry

This book examines in detail the negotiations that led to the entry of Greece into the European Community as its tenth member. While the existing literature tends to confine itself to either a member state's pre-accession trends and prospects, or both, the presnt book provides an analytical and conceptual framework for the study of membership negotiations. It thus contributes not only to an understanding of Greece's relations with the European Community but also to the identification of general negotiating mechanisms underlying the process of EC (and EU) enlargement.
