This book explores Jewish values, explains special terms, customs and concepts, every one of the terms is represented by the letter of the Hebrew alphabet: ʼAlef - ʼEmuna (faith), Bet - Berit (covenant between God and Israel), Gimel -G'milut Ḥasadim (helping people, making the world better), Dalet - Derekh Eretz (treating someone else with respect, He -Havdallah (division between Shabbat and the rest of the week), Vav - Viku'aḥ (good ways of arguing with each other), Zayin - Z'mirot (songs/prayers), Ḥeshbon ha-nefesh (counting good and bad personal deeds), Ṭet - Ṭeva (nature), we should guard environment, Yod - Yiśraʼel (Israel), our land, Eretz Yisrael, Kaf - Kavod (honor, respect), to honor someone we must be willing to bend; Lamed - Leshon ha-raʻ (an evil tong), the Jews never want to hert anyone not with their hands, and not with their words; Mem - Mitzvot (613 commandments); Nun - Neshamah (the saul, breath of life), Every person has a different neshamah; Samekh - Siddur (Jewish prayerbook with the prayers arranged in the order of synagogue services); ʻAyin - ʻAśeret ha-dibrot (10 rules); Pe - Pikuaḥ Nefesh ("choose life"); Tsadi - Tzedakah (the act of justice to help other people by personal generosity); Ḳof - Ḳedushah ("You shall be holy because I am holy.") Acting like God means feeding the poor, being fair in business, treating every person with respect; Resh - Rodef Shalom one who chases peace). Making peace is another way to be like God; Shin - Shabbat. God made a mitzvah that people should rest every seventh day; Śin - Śimha. God wants us to be happy and enjoy family, friends, doing mitzvot and knowing that God created us and the world; Tav - Talmud Torah. God gave Israel the Torah and mitzvah to study; Tav (2) - Tikkun Olam. The job of finishing the work that God started is called tikkun ʻolam (correction of the world). Each term is illustrated with a story.
