Riding Balaam's Donkey is the second work in twelve months by the author. He continues in the storytelling genre. This book differs from his first one, Living in the land of Nod in that these stories are for mature readers. "24° North Latitude, 81° West Longitude" follows two star-crossed lovers from Cuba to Alaska as they narrowly escape ruthless, terrorist pursuit. Major disasters, on a national scale occur only minutes behind them. They ultimately find rest in the wilds of Alaska. Weare told several anecdotes of a friend who's humor was timely, unique and ubiquitous. These anecdotes enriched the lives of all whom they touched. The author shares a few observations of his time living in the Deep South of the United States which are both personal and controversial. The are sure to stimulate. The final story, "balancing Act", tells of the peripatetic life of the author with insights into each stop.
