Aeroplane construction

The author was one of the greatest aircraft designers of the 20th century. This book covers many aspects of aircraft construction such as materials, engine mounting, rib construction, fabric covering, rigging. The book is well illustrated and makes a really good reading about aircraft construction in the first quarter of the 20th century. It is not a book for designers since it contains no formulae or theoretical background on aerodynamics.
