It's been seven years since the brutal murder of Emma Cardale's best friend, Laura. Emma's only just managed to start her life over, with a job she enjoys and a wonderful man in Jack Scarlet. One bad day she returns home to find an unwelcome ghost from the past - Laura's husband, Tom, who's widely believed to be her murderer, although he was never charged.
