In a big city, somewhere in western Europe, a small child appears at a market. Where did she come from? Why is she here? What is her name? She doesn't know, and she doesn't understand a word of the language that they speak here. When she meets two boys, just as alone as she is, she goes along with them. This novel tells the story of three children in a world that doesn't want to know anything about them, of people without a future, of a life on the edge, and of the drive for survival.
