Gnarlene's Scary Times Mental Activity Book

The genesis of this book came about in the scary times leading up to Gulf War II. Like many of you, I was shocked and awed at the utter audacity of the unelected Bush Regime. Even the reports on the Puppet News Networks of this regimes plans to create an entirely new unilateralist, imperialist foreign policy with the utterly predictable consequences of domestic and international polarization, strife, increased terrorism, etc. were destabilizing my mental world order. The Patriot Act, saber rattling at the "axis of evil", alienating our close allies in NATO and elsewhere and the shear folly of creating fear and loathing in the entire Islamic world towards the United States began to re-radicalize this 40 year old faggot. All this was taking place for me within the personal context of a life gone extraordinarily wacko. In one week in mid February 2003, I lost my disability income, my lover, and the band I had recently joined, fired me abruptly and unceremoniously. I found myself quite alone with plenty of time to think about and analyze current world and personal events. I spent many hours in my Lazy Boy recliner contemplating rash acts, while simultaneously and feverishly mixing and mastering my CD "That's So GAY!" I became an impassioned warrior in this struggle and my weapon was the album and what was to become the book you now hold. It became utterly vital to me to finish and have the CD manufactured before Bush could start his foolish war sequel. I succeeded in that goal by three days, and like to think that I got off the first shot in this war, though I know the Bush Regime was already well ahead of me in their diabolical plans and manipulations before the first bomb was dropped on that poor, unfortunate land. While my head told me to focus on my own survival and promote the album, I became obsessed with guilt and shame over what the Bush regime was about to do in my name. Over the course of two brain-fevered days prior to the wars beginning, I wrote much of this material. About half of this was written after the war started and reflects my increasing paranoia and outrage. I thought about trying to put it in some chronological or other order but in this form it is chaotic and somewhat random. Perhaps a reflection of my own mental state of simultaneous laser focusing and haphazard ideological carpet-bombing. Those of you with a penchant for this sort of thing may pick apart the grammatical and punctuation errors contained herein. I don't care. I merely wish to offer this book in a timely fashion and hope that it will do some good somehow. I hope beyond reason that the people of the United States will wake up to the folly of the Bush regimes plans for "One World Government" in time to avert the horrendous catastrophe we are pointing ourselves towards.
