The sophmore anthology from author Jarvis Black, Broken By A Promise is another anthology of collected works from years between 2000-20004. Compared to the first chaotic book, Broken is less bitter, less sardonic, and begins to uncover the nature of the caustic and brash writer. In the comparison of the first two books, we find the maturing of the other emotional, though his wit and intellect remain there. This is every-man-with-a-broken-heart-and-broken-dream's poetry, but there is definitely a real hint of genius behind each and every line.
