Holly Daniels and Janie Roberts stand on the threshold of graduation from tiny Eastern Nerw Mexico University. Roommates for four years, Janie still clings to the hope of snagging a husband while Holly searches for answers to her Big Questions list, avoiding boys and preferring the library where she becomes obsessed with 19th century German philosophers.
