Lady Barbara Saunders -- or Lady Bee as the saucy minx was affectionately called -- could only regard Lord John Connwood and sigh. Such a fine man... yet promised to another. As she was barely out of the schoolroom and had not yet a Season in London, Bee reasoned he was quite beyond her reach.
