David and the giant mailbox

In the summer of 2013, David Henry embarked on a 1,000 mile walk across the country to raise awareness of climate change, pushing a cart that resembled a giant mailbox. Here, he recounts his experiences and his interactions with the people he met along the way, as he walked from Boston to a point just east of Dayton, Ohio.
