Northern lakes and rivers

Series of papers which focus on the major physical and biological processes which operate in lakes and rivers in northern regions. A number of topics are examined including accumulation of snow, formation and break-up of ice cover, effects of low oxygen levels on invertebrates, structure of fish communities in small northern lakes.
