Environmental communication

The book adopts a deep ecology approach to environmental communication. It advocates enculturation, conflict management and social transformation --- themes that represent a general systems theory (GST) inspired school of thought that goes beyond conventional, time-bound communication campaigns and relies more on the cultural dimension. With this feature, it cannot be compared to other texts on the subject. Given the complexity and dynamism of the sector within which environmental communication operates, this discipline is best conceived and implemented as such.
