A book of poems, written by John Stanyan Bigg. Bigg dedicated this book to his brother James. The poems are presented through dialog between characters. For example, Scene 1 is a conversation between two characters named Alexis and Ferdinand that takes place in the woods. This book is 188 pages long. According to a review of Night and the Soul from The Literary gazette published May 20, 1854, the book, "discusses a great variety of topics, sometime with force and fervour, but generally in an irregular and overstrained style."
