When Julia Urquidi Illanes, first wife of MVLlosa, opened a package which was sent to her at her office, she was surprised to see the novel, "Tia Julia y el escribidor," part of which was based on her marriage to the newly-named Nobel Laureate. At the insistence of friends and relatives she wrote, "Lo que Varguitas no dijo," translated into English as "My Life with Mario Vargas Llosa." This book contained "What dear Varguitas didn't say."
