A mixed farm example

This booklet is part of a series of livestock information books developed to help farmers understand the implications of the Nutrient Management Act, 2002 and the associated regulations and protocols. The Act addresses how nutrients, including manure, are managed while they are stored and applied to farmland for the purpose of growing agricultural crops. The case study reviews the options for a farm operation keeping beef, swine and sheep that is planning to construct a new solid manure storage facility.
