Disaster and after

"Concentrating on the response to the Hillsborough Football Stadium Disaster the author describes the ways in which services were provided, evaluates from the user's perpective the effectiveness of these services and considers the experience of providing a service in the aftermath of disaster, focusing on the impact on workers and the implications for training and education. In doing so, he identifies the potential for applying the lessons learnt in providing post-disaster services to the issues of stress and staff care in mainstream social work."
